Oscar by Hans Bølling

Designed in 1953, Oscar has since become sought after by collectors for its humour, warmth and playfulness.

Oscar’s body can be arranged so that he does everything a normal dog would – sit, sprawl, stand, beg, or even sulk in the corner.

Oscar was designed as one of a series of figurines Hans Bølling had personally made for a girl he’d fallen in love with. Later, when he’d won an award and could then afford a carpentry machine, Oscar was redesigned in wood the way he was originally envisioned.

Oscar is a classic of Scandinavian design.
